Who he’s rescuing is unclear at the moment, but we know he pilots a mech named Matoi Tech. Imaishi calls him well-meaning but “quite stupid” in his commentary. Galo is Trigger’s first male protagonist since GURREN LAGANN. It kind of looks like Gotham City in the BATMAN animations, but with much brighter colors. The background designs showed a very colorful metropolis. The anime has a very westernized style of animation.

The animation is unlike anything we’ve seen from them in past years. Trigger is being fairly secretive about their latest project, but understandably so. PROMARE’s Galo greets the audience of Trigger’s panel. While we are unable to show all the designs, we were able to take a snapshot of the teaser trailer. In it, they recount how they’ve made very little progress and don’t have anything to show except for a few character designs. Japan Previews Upcoming Lineup at Anime Expo!įrom Lab Zero Games, in collaboration with Trigger and Titmouse, comes INDIVISIBLE, a new RPG adventure game. Like Ryuko at the end of the anime, Satsuko will also have a final form, giving fans something to look out for. Sushio, the chief animation director for the anime, said that he was “pretty stoked” and “honored” that his characters are being shown in a different form. Kazuki Nakashima will be returning to write this new story within the KILL LA KILL franchise. Coming in 2019, the game is not a continuation of the anime, but an all-new story featuring Kyruuin Satsuki as its main protagonist. In partnership with Arc System Works, the producers of DRAGONBALL FIGHTERZ and ONE PIECE: GREAT PILOT COLOSSEUM, comes a brand new game five years after the end of the KILL LA KILL anime.

So without further ado, here are all the announcements made at the Trigger Industry Panel. If you loved this show, you’ll definitely love these new additions. Trigger is currently finishing up the final season of DARLING IN THE FRANXX, which aired its final episode today.

In a room filled to capacity, fans roared in excitement at these new announcements. Trigger previewed both new and previously announced content such as PROMARE, SSSS.GRIDMAN, INDIVISIBLE, and KILL LA KILL THE GAME: IF as well as launching its new Patreon account, rewarding fans with exclusive content which Hiromi Wakabayashi hopes will support the studio and its creators. Joining him throughout different periods of the panel were Shigeto Koyama, a character designer with Trigger, animation director Sushio, SSSS.GRIDMAN character designer Masaru Sakamoto, and SSSS.GRIDMAN animation producer Masato Takeuchi.
